Rugadh agus tógadh Orliath I gCnoc na Foinse sa cheantar agus tá sí ag tógáil clainne anois i gCnoc Dhiarmada. D’fhreastal sí ar Bhunscoil Phobal Feirste agus Meánscoil Feirste agus chuaigh sí isteach san obair óige fríd Youth Action agus Ionad na mBan, i mBaile Uí Mhurchú. Chaith sí seal mar Oibrí óige le Foireann óige an Iontaobhas Forbartha Uachtar Chluanaí agus Ionad Pobail agus Óige Newhill sula dtáinig sí ag obair le Glór na Móna mar chomhordaitheoir óige Cathrach na heagraíochta. D’fhás an earnáil go suntasach faoina stiúir agus is Stiúrthóir anois í ar an eagraíocht Reigiúnda Óige Gaeilge, ‘Fóram na nÓg’.
Orliath was born and raised in Springhill and now lives in Dermott Hill where she is raising a family. She attended Bunscoil Phobal Feirste and Meanscoil Feirste and went into youth work through Youth Action and the Ballymurphy Women’s centre. She spent a period as Youth Worker with the Upper Springfield Development Trust Youth Team and Newhill Youth Club before coming to work for Glór na Móna as Youth Co-ordinator. The Irish medium Youth sector has grown significantly under her stewardship and she is now working as Director of Irish Medium Regional Youth Project, Fóram na nÓg.
